This is BREW's 17th year of building mountain bikes. Through out these years we have seen many fads come and go. Some of these fads were good, some even GREAT, but the majority of them were not that good. Weird angles, weird tubing and weird designs are hyped up in advertising and written up in magazines as the next trick setup. A year later the same magazine trashes the design. Triple this, quad this, this shape is better and it goes on and on. When BREW builds a frame, it is built for function! We test the newest tubing to see if it lives up to what we are told. We cut it, smash it, put small dents in it, put large dents in it and then fatigue test it. Why just test a new tube without welds, dents and scrapes? If you ride dirt, the frame has been welded, has dents and probably the chainstays have some nicks. That is why we test the tubes this way.
